Plain and Simple - More Maps Needed

There are numerous threads about new weapons or boats or gameplay modes, but the biggest thing that this game needs in my opinion is more maps.

Players are coming on the forum and saying that they are bored, but would a new ship or weapon cure that boredom? Perhaps it would be a short term fix, but it isn’t a long term solution. In the short term, any new boat or weapon would likely just be a bone of contention, as F2P argue that it’s unfair that P2W can upgrade those new ships/weapons quickly and that it will take them months to build their own.

Player are bored because they know exactly how the first minute or so of most battles will play out. They know that because they know the maps like the back of their hands. The problem is exasperated for elite players, because they also know how each player they face will play on those maps (because the pool of players that they face are smaller than most of the other players).

This game needs a constant supply of new maps, coming at regular intervals of time. I’m not talking about one or two new maps, I’m talking we need at least twice as many as we have at the moment.

Other things such a new boats, or weapons would be the ‘nice to haves’ but new maps are essential.

 

You’re absolutely right. I’ve read that maps require a lot of work to design and build. They need to be high quality as poor maps can destroy the game as surely as a lack of maps.

In a limited resources scenario that the devs seem to be in, I’d rather that they prioritise designing and building high quality maps above (but not to the exclusion of) all else.

 

Sadly, balancing is an issue here as well. The devs have to handle item balancing and bug fixes, as well as add in small additions for quality of life. Maps are really tough to work with, and just changing some details of a map can take weeks on end.

We can definately expect a new map, though.
