Shots not hitting me but still dealing damage

    If your connection is stable, then it was your enemy who probably gets the connection issue.

    issue with ping...
    my network speed is best..tough for me happening same..and loosing matches...shots registering...when i am out from game can see ping went 600+ and coming down to 200....again when i start game ping same repeated...ping going high above 600...

    It's your own connection. Your enemy's connection can't negatively influence you. Only the path that internet traffic takes between you and the server can cause problems for you.

    also some of the utube vids ive seen have the players scouting out enemy, nothing hit them but suddenly -400 dmg randomly?? as far as i can see no splash from torp nothin...

    If your game thinks a torp hit a wall or other obstacle, it will visually explode against the wall, and then if the server says "nope, this torp missed the wall", you can still get hit and take damage. A bad connection can cause invisible torps.

    There will always be latency between the server & devices, both the guy shooting the weapon, and you trying to dodge it, so both players can see something differently to what actually happens.
    If you took damage, then the shot hit you regardless of what you think you saw :)

    Not impossible, just very hard!
    The shooter also is dealing with the same issue, sometimes you will shoot an enemy which appears to hit, but damage will not be counted.

    I am dealing with shots going over me, but still dealing damage. The reason it feels weird is it doesn't have the animation of hitting me, and hits the water behind me. But yet it deals damage. Maybe the hitbox extends to far up? Idk, I know its not lag...

    What you see on your screen regarding your ship has no effect on your connection.
    My connection dropped out the other day, and I could still nitro and overboost around, just no shots were registering on the opponent, and my health was chugging down from invisible gun fire.
    Just because when you hit nitro it happens instantly, it doesn't mean the server is getting that info instantly and hence you are taking the shot from where the server knows you was as opposed to where you think you was :)

    Try to use instinct instead of sight. I always thought killing intent from anime to be a load of BS, but look at half my videos as binitro speeder, I don't even see the enemy when I judge when they're gonna fire. Trust that tingly sensation you get when the Bay is too calm and you see a tag pointing at you.

    I honestly wouldnt use the nitro light or any other animations in game to accurately measure your connection speed and server latency.
