I agree. Floaters are frustrating, but that’s not the real issue. The -800 system needs rethinking. Especially when you lose infamy ‘not because of something you did’, but because of something the devs changed.
That’s what happened to all the low ranked mk6s, when the matchmaking system changed. Some of those guys were getting beaten down below 100 infamy, yet still being matched in Ace 3.
Then they add 7 seconds on to Tesla Bolt (7 seconds!!!). That’s unprecedented. Even 2 second nerfs and buffs can have a huge impact, and that’s all I’ve seen them do in the past, and this time they went 7!
I don’t want to argue about whether it was needed or not, for new players coming up, that’s just the way it is (they can take it or leave it), but for players like me... I was already the most underpowered ship in all my games, at 3200, getting 1 shoted by Nightmare players in mk7s, I wasn’t sure how long I’d be be able to hang there, even before the nerf. Then to suddenly get slapped with the biggest nerf in Battle Bay history.
I felt like someone who’d jumped out of a plane thinking he had a parachute, then gets told: “actually, that parachute is only for ants”. That’s fine for people still in the plane, but I’ve already jumped!
