How to reach Ace

    what item level does it require to reach ace league?

    I did it with rare t3-rare t4 items.... You can definately do it with all rare t4s

    You can get up to Ace 1 with t4 rares. Once you are there you need epic t5's. So start collecting epic counterparts to the weapons you use and upgrade them once you get enough dupes to be used in higher leagues.

    Edit: reached ace 3 with this setup.

    There's no good answer to this because, contrary to popular belief, it depends on skill. One person gets to 3k infamy with T4 rares and another is stuck at 1k with T4 epics.

    What @Miathan says is true, but ‘generally’ speaking, you’ll start to run into a lot of mk6s, and legendary weapons beyond 2300. So it’d be rough without at least mk5 and t3 rares (or equivalent).

    It depends quite a bit on the ship you play.

    A Shooter or Defender will have a very rough time because they're meant to be on the front lines of battle. Weaker gear there means you get targeted and focused down very quickly at higher levels. Whereas a Speeder or Enforcer with low-level items can still attempt to flank and run distraction or support, and a Fixer can sit in the back of the pack and shoot Repair Bolts from relative safety (just watch out for the flanking yellow boats!)
