    There should be player's and MK's infamies. For example, MK 1 = 0, 2 = 100, 3 = 300, 4 = 600, 5 = 1200, MK 6 & 7 = 2000.

    So when match making calculated, add the 2 infamies together. This will prevent the MK5 and MK6 around the 500s. Use player infamy for season.

    I think I suggested this before but was not heard.

    Good idea :p I like those numbers. Some of my mk5-6 guild mates are too focused on quests to manage infamy and have quite the trouble keeping up :D

    Stinks when u r mk6 and some how you get an mk2 or mk3 on your team.. because they switch ships (probably to do a quest)

    They can simply tank infamy with their mk1 ship then switch to their mk6 ship.

    Good point... how about a slightly lower minimum infamy and a second level of infamy that you have to pass to get better rewards?

    I think that from mk1 to MK3 until 1000 infamy points you could not face mk4 or more than that. At 1000 or when you are using mk4, you'll face whatever your infamy gives you ;)
    We'd have more bots with a little bit more infamy, but I think it'd be worthy.

    then wouldnt we be forced to play our highest mk ship and unable to grind lower mks for fear of being steamrolled?o_O

    You can't tank anymore without penalty. The player infamy can only change by 800 infamy now. If the player infamy is 3000 and he/she gets in an MK1, that MK1 will face MK5+. The player infamy will act as the current infamy now. The ship infamy is only use during match making.

    You too misunderstood what I was saying. The ship infamy is infamy added to your infamy when calculating match making process.

    Yes, if you are a 3000 infamy player in MK6, your infamy for the calculation is 5000.

    I think ships below a certain infamy should reset to a minimum at the start of each season. Infamy level is based on your highest MK ship.

    There is no limit on a ships upper infamy other than that player's skill ceiling.

    Haven't given much thought to the specific infamy levels, but something like:
    MK3 should reset to 800
    MK4 reset to 1200
    MK5 reset to 2000
    MK6 reset to 2750
    MK7 reset to 3500

    This gets the big boats out of the kiddy pool. It compensates for the infamy loss at the end of the season when nightmare players reset to 4k.

    Sets a baseline for infamy tankers, if they fall 800 infamy below this base they'll lose out on sweet sugar and gold rewards. Motivates them to play well. But they get reset back up at the end of the season.

    How is this not already the case? If you are not playing your highest MK ship (your infamy is largely attributed to this), you are doing your teammates a disservice.

    Some people just don't have skill, and that's okay.
    With that in mind, I think there should be no min. infamy for mks 1-5.
    Atm, I think the min for mk6/7 is 800, but Idk for sure.

    No. Ship Mk is not more important than the strength of your items. An Mk4 with T5 Epics is better than an Mk7 with Common items. If you are going to set an infamy "floor" like this, then it needs to be based on Gear Score, which includes Ship Mk and your items. But don't add the two infamies together. Just set a floor that a player's infamy cannot fall beneath based on their gear score. For example, if I have 10k gear score, say that my infamy floor is 3000. If I fall to 2900, then I am matched as if I had an infamy of 3000. Even if I fall to 100 infamy, I'm still matched at 3000 because of my gear score. Numbers obviously just for the example, don't take them religiously.
