why so slow...¿?

I really do not understand why the speed of the boats should be so slow, every person who tries the game says the same .. why are they so slow ...? I do not see any sense, I think it would be much more fun if all the boats had a superior base velicity, bigger maps could be made ...
Is there any reason for the game to be so slow? thanks

I believe speed is somewhat constrained by the fact that it’s a network game for mobile devices, so you have to anticipate a certain amount of latency.

The faster the ships go, the more noticeable that latency will be, and then even more people will start complaining about their shots not registering, etc...

But back to the topic: You have to know that Battle Bay is not a game about fast reflexes. It's about quick assessment of the situation, finding the best move/combo and tactics.

 

The game is very slow at the start since everybody’s playing a slow af shooter or defender, but trust me everything gets faster later on (for reference my boat has 1.7 speed). And if youre like me and like faster paced action, play speeder.

 

But With faster ships weapon projectiles can be fast..There by reducing latency (Which currently is observed in slow projectile weapon or very fast boats)

However faster gameplay,quick decision,etc would make it even harder for a game which requires fair amount of skill;thereby reducing the player base.So it doesn't look good idea either way
