    Hey guys! I just wanna list some recommendations for V3.0! I have not finished yet, and I will enter the uncompleted version. Watch this thread for when I add more!

    Swift torp doesn't need a buff and fixers are pretty balanced now,other than that,great ideas!!
    Can't wait to see this as a real patch notes :)

    Re: 5% HP reduction for fixer, This would make it teeny weeny bit weaker so that there are more options

    Fixer is already the pansy of the bay and you want to make it even more weaker? It was only recently given that HP boost

    *for non-selfish fixers

    Sigh. Allow me to be critical here:

    - speeder HP increase: Eh, speeder HP was decreased for balance reasons. It's unlikely they would undo that, even if just for lower mks
    - Fixer HP nerf: fixer HP was increased for balance reasons. Not only is it unlikely to be reverted, there is also no reason for doing that. Fixers have a natural HP disadvantage due to having only 2 blue slot points (so no big shield) and a number of HP crew trainings are tradeoffs with buffs to repair items
    - your tiny defence changes make no sense, noone will even notice 2 or 3 defence being added or substracted
    - new ship, catapult: unrealistic, impractical and useless (I have no idea why you think it would be OP)
    - new crew member levels: please no, it takes years to max out the current ones, don't add to that
    - new levels and ship MKs: I think it's unwise to further increase the power gap in the current state of the game
    - balance changes: not a single one makes sense to me, I can't be bothered to go through them individually
    - better star crates for more stars used to exist but were removed, I don't think the devs will undo this change
    - To make relevant suggestions about the rate of obtaining rare items, you first have to know what the current rate is, and how it influences progression etc, it's pointless to just say "I want every quest box to be a rare box"

    Did you just randomly type numbers and percentages for buffs/nerfs without having any prior knowledge of critical and actual ingame statistics/datao_O

    For the defender you said: Decrease the size of the ship, and increase hp by 5%
    "Decrease the size of the ship",
    Why, does it get in your way?
    Ever tried sailing around the damn thing, hell, you even can go straight through it without it distorting your set-course of motion.

    fyi, defenders up in nightmare can max out their health @ 23000hp, I've been there, I've seen it and I tell you. THEY DONT NEED A 5% buff.


    Sorry for being blunt, but why one earth would you want them to decrease the fixers base hp?
    1. There is absolutely no reason for that whatsoever
    2. They increased it for a reason (I.e pulse got nerfed making the fixer too vulnerable)
    3. The fixer is the only ship that can't equipt a BIG SHIELD at later tiers.

    1. How does decreasing the fixer's base hp by 5% (for all 'mks') open up more "options" ingame

    2. What sort of options will it open to players that the game lacks so far?​

    In my 10 months of playing BB I've never come across a single player who says:

    "Ah shit the options in the game are SO limited, because the fixer has 5% more hp than necessary"

    I can't be bothered to go through anymore of your 'balance' changes, as the ones I've pointed out so far, make zero sense.

    Note to self: If ROVIO releases this as v3.0 patch notes, I.e no new content, nothing but more buffs/nerfs and (terribly thought-out)
    Ship. I don't care my lvl 42 captain or the fact thay ive been grinding my life away for 10months , ill fucking quit this game, because if ROVIO can't bring new content for their "special anniversary" then they'll never bring anything to the table for future updates except for buffs and nerfs.

    Enforcer not being meta at high end? Funny guy ;) I have no problem with enfos getting their time in the sun, but no point pretending that it isnt the heir to the dethroned speeder king.

    My 3.0 wishlist:
    1. A serious look at the crewtalent system, either offering a complete rewamp or a more flexible way to use more items and ships at an efficient level. This is by a mile my largest wish.
    2. New items (in particular green & blue 2p items).
    3. New maps, or a fun period with the started maps joining the rotation!
    4. Less focus on guild quests & more focus on infamy (Leagues).
    5. A solution to the new player experience, Im afraid alot of potential new recruits are scared off when they run into high level boats a week after starting. Difficult to find a good robust long term solution though.

    This is just plain stupid.
    There are already a little amount of fixers in this game, and you want to nerf them?
    If you nerf fixer, you will have even less options in the game because most of them will move to shooter. And shooters are at least 60% of the player base, and if you wanted more options and diversity in this game, you would nerf shooters and fixers.

    Since when were 2 or 3 defence points even close to being useful or counting as a buff?
    At this point, defence points are just a joke, so must be these 2 suggestion. Such a buff with it's counterpart nerf is like for an f2p speeder to get a gear lube out of a legendary blue combine.

    Ok, this is not even funny anymore. Swift Torpedo is already powerful enough, as a T5 epic does around 1.5k damage, and it has like 10+ projectile speed(for a torpedo :eek:), and really good splash damage.
    And don't forget that its talent tree offers quite a bit of damage to frozen targets too.

    Bruh, this swimmy boi relies on splash damage from walls to actually hit a speeder or enforcer, unless you're using frost torp(which has been nerfed very hard a few patches ago).
    Even as a speeder with 1800 hp who played at 1.9k infamy a few months ago and got 1 shot by big torps, I still blame my self for hugging those walls.\

    Defender is not that underpowered that it needs such slot&slot point buffs. What you're suggesting is just absurd.

    Some things I agreed on, but most of your balancing ideas, I would disagree about.

    This is to everyone, not just @Bradley Thorinsson

    I guess you guys are right about Fixers, and no I am not just writing random percentages. I have in game knowledge too. Also, I am saying to decrease Defender's size so it is "harder to hit". This is not my opinion and pls stop criticizing me guys. Just asking for recommendations. I now agree with keeping Fixer as it is, and stop swearing @Bradley Thorinsson, ur gonna get banned, which I don't want to happen to you! ;)

    Also, your criticism of the new ship, I don't know what is wrong with you (barely anyone has criticized it so far). Out of all the people I asked, including my 3 neighbours, my friend from school called Daa Mastaa (almost at NM league, playing for a year), @RohitHebbar and @The Grim Repair, they all approved of it. I have even been saying that this is a rough design for slots and slot points, and admitting that it is OP. I am no dev, or no @TheAntiSnipe who know all the number facts of this game. If I asked you to make a new ship that completely fits the current game situation, would you be able to do it? Would you waste freakin' 10 hours of your time just to write potential patch notes for the community?

    Sorry to everybody who thinks my Fixer and Defender ideas are messed up. As stated before, I am no expert who know everythin. No one or nothing is perfect. Pls don't criticize me and explain what I can change. Thx and have a great time :D

    BTW, new edit coming out soon. One of the ideas is that you can buy dupes with X amount of pearls

    You aren't writing patch notes. You are writing suggestions. I don't really like any of the suggestions either. And it is totally on YOU to "waste 10 hours of your time".

    You are self-admittedly not an expert and clearly missed some big things. Feel free to keep updating, but don't feel bad when people do not like your suggestions. It doesn't matter if you say that a few people like what you've suggested. The community is larger than a few people.

    @CoolDownHSNA When it comes to preferences for ships, people will be tetchy about it as we develop our love and ideology around them, especially when a nerf is involved as that usually implies something negative. For me any nerf to a Fixer would be unwarranted :)

    It's clear you've put in a lot of effort to do the notes which shows a great degree of engagement and meaningful contribution, what I think you've missed is the reasoning behind your weapon balance changes to explain your thoughts and why you think they would be positive. I suspect this is on the back of input from various threads?

    I can't understand why there would be backlash on the defender as it's all good things for it. I wouldn't decrease the size as I think it needs to have that imposing presence, what I would address is the hit box as that's quite a common theme for them.

    Wow, an amazing amount of effort has gone into this post. Whether you agree or disagree with the OPs points, you have to be impressed by the time and effort that some of our members go to.

    I myself agree with some points, and disagree with others. Many of the points I disagree with you about have already been covered, so I see no point in detailing them.

    However, if I could offer you @CoolDownHSNA some advice, it would be this:
    • Try not to go into too much detail with numbers when speaking about nerfs, buffs etc. Human nature means that players get fixated on debating the detail of the numbers, rather than the original ideas themselves.
    • Players are more keen to write about what they disagree with you about, rather than what they agree with you about. Therefore the more ideas in a post, the greater the likelihood of receiving negative feedback, rather than positive feedback. Again good ideas get buried beneath the negative feedback on other points.
    I think @Kitterini’s post in this thread is a good example of the above advice and how I’d recommend you draft any future such posts to minimise the negatives, so that your good ideas can shine

    Please don’t be disheartened by negative feedback, everyone who’s ever posted on this forum has received some negative feedback at some point or other. And even if you do write a post with ideas that no one replies back to, or gets negative feedback, all you need to remember is that a dev will read the post and judge your ideas by its own merits.:)
