Upgrade to MK6 or wait

    I will hit level 40 tomorrow and am undecided if I should upgrade or hold out for awhile longer. I like my current load out, I have all the dupes to get everything to lvl 50 excluding the leg BC. I have some other epics that I could sub in but as I said I'm efficient with what I have. I've heard all the threads about how a new MK6 struggles so just wondering what you all think.

    Don't you have a blue item to the extra slot? If you don't, level up one you like before upgrading to MK6

    This is exactly what I was going to post. Unless you have a bandage/small shield that has been leveled up to match your other blue items, you are going to be handicapped by upgrading to Mk6 because you will have one very low item. Other than that, you are ready for Mk6.

    I do have an epic small shield but nothing to get it to T2. I do have 3 epic bandages that I could level easily though so that might work. Frr some reason I scrapped all my rare small shields.

    It's better to wait untill you can duplicate it :D

    Never tried GL, always scrapped them when I got them as never thought I'd ever need them.

    Definitely upgrade that Bandage. I would prefer having a Bandage over a Small Shield. Once you get it to T3, you will be ready to upgrade to Mk6.

    I’ll have to be the ugly duckling in this group. You should upgrade ASAP. My bandage was only about tier 2 I think but it was fine. If you don’t have another blue item ready all the mk6 is a better version of the Mk5. I was stuck at 3k infamy with my mk5 but after my upgrade I’m now at 3.7k. There’s no real reason why you shouldn’t upgrade ASAP.

    @darryl.... I didn't even look at your infamy when I made my posts. At 2.2k infamy, it won't matter if you upgrade ships now or later. I'd go ahead and do it and then start upgrading your Bandage asap.

    I agree with Admiral DJ. I keep reading this dilemma and I don't understand it. I upgraded immediately and saw my infamy rise about 800 almost immediately. It's slightly slower but that is the only draw back. The other thing I've noticed is that the higher Mk your ship gets, it appears to me that this also affects your weapon strength slightly. You may see your weapons doing more damage than you're used to seeing. Plus you gain decent HP with the upgrade.

    Mk 7 actually increases all stats as far as I know for some reason.

    I delayed my upgrade, have mostly T4-5 Rares, and still haven't seen my MK5 high as an MK6. Maybe I suck as MK6 and was awesome as MK5? All I can say is good luck to you... what's the worst that can happen? :)

    Anyway report back after a week or two and let us know how it went!

    For all other ships its fine but be careful b4 upgrading to mk6 enfo. I just upgraded it and believe me its difficult as hell as now u have 6 small items to select and in the heat of the battle u will not be able to select the one desired.
    Ps: @Miika can you please add an option to shift some slots to other sides in the next update.

    My infamy is a little low right now, been a rough couple days, normally in the 2500-2600 range but I don't think that will matter much, already got the bandage to T2, I'm gonna go ahead and go to MK6 tomorrow night. Thanks for all your input.
