So all of your items are maxed out too, no other weapons/ boosts/ healing you're upgrading at all? Am I the only person spending over 1 million plus sugar upgrading weapons and items? Oh I see, you're saying if I never upgrade, and just pointlessly battle against higher level ships, so I can get 20k (AT MOST!) sugar. Okay, so an upgrade for me is around 1,200,000. So we say at least 60 matches. And that's me really trying, getting 3 stars and 3-4 kills every single match. Sure, piece of cake. And the average match lasts about 3.5 minutes, so it would only take you about 210 minutes, but you need to watch videos to get the bonus, for all 60 matches, and ads take what, 15 seconds on average? (some take 30, but in the spirit of being optimistic, ill make it seem like less) so add 15 more minutes. And for this scenario, imagine those days where for 2 days straight, you only get gold from quests. (sure, sometimes you only get sugar, when you need gold too). With all this, If I could play like a God every game, it would take only 235 minutes, assuming there was never any extra time in between anything. So now I can start my training - which will take me 4 days to finish and net me around 10k exp, towards my 50k exp level up. Now during that time I can play more and then use any sugar/gold to level up and start saving for sugar when its due. I'm not asking "Is it time consuming to level up without spending money?" because everyone in this world knows that's a yes. I was trying to reach out to veteran players, free to play players(mostly free anyway), to see if anyone else had noticed that it required much more effort to level up than before.
It's like distracting us with candy, while they put up a pay wall, and everyone won't stop talking about the damn candy. Is the exp nice from battling? Kinda/sometimes, definitely not when you lose and get 0 stars after a 4 minute match. It just sucks to have them say "wow, we care so much about things, now you can earn xp to level up" but its really making it harder to, unless you pay, or have VIP. That's my point, just sad to see a game get greedier, and not offer value to the players in return.
