Here are the slot specs for every ship at different tiers. (This is also posted at better quality in the General Discussion area). The setup is (tier) - (# slot points)(Slot type by color) Red Blue Yellow Green

Shooter:
1 - 2RR 1B
2 - 4RRR 1B
3 - 5RRR 2BB
4 - 6RRRR 3BB
5 - 7RRRRR 3BB
6 - 8RRRRR 4BBB

Speeder:
1 - 1R 2Y 1B
2 - 2R 2YY 1B
3 - 2RR 3YY 2B
4 - 3RR 3YY 2BB
5 - 3RR 3YYY 3BB
6 - 3RR 4YYY 4BBB

Enforcer:
1 - 1R 2Y 1B

This is very much needed info. It's terrible you can't get this info in game or on the wiki. Thanks.

You can get it in game
Push the upgrade button and it tells you whats next

 

It doesn't tell you every tier for the ship though. If you're playing where everyone has mk5 ships and you want to use a different ship (one you only have at mk1) this guide can help you see if getting that mk5 ship is worth it.

Probably not if yoy have to upgrqde from mk1
