How to stop getting quest for ship i dont play?

You can refresh the quest that you dont want, but it that quest might appear again sometime

I think you will stop getting quests if you remove the weapons for the ship. Same with weapons that you don’t want quests for.

 

I believe you get no quests if the ship is 2 marks below your highest or if it has no weapons equipped. So I get no quests on my fixer, enfo, and defender who are all M2/3. I get quests on my shooter/speeder who are M4/5. All of them are fully loaded with weapons.

Simple don’t equip the ship. Any ships equipped or weapon you will get daily quest for. If you only put 5 sniper on shooter you will only get sniper, shooter, dominator, sinking, dmg

 

What if I wanted to play a ship in custom just for fun? Would I get the daily quest done for that ship?
Same applies for the weapons. I use mines , torps ,flare in customs just for fun. But I don't expect to get it as a daily quest. So, why am I even affected by it?

 

So much false information here.

1. Dont play the boat, after some time you stop getting quests for it. If previous dev comments on the matter are true anyway.

2. For weapons: Dont equip any weapons that you dont want quests for (to any of your boats).

 

He's right actually, I have an mk5 fixer which I was using as a secondary boat, then around a month ago I scrapped every single healing equipment, but I still receive quests for it almost every other day. It takes time for the quests to stop coming (unknown amount of time) even with nothing equipped.

 

I keep on getting 'heal for hitpoints' quests, yet I don't get specific ship quests other than for the speeder(the only ship I play).
I've only played fixer 2 times in a custom battle, and I don't put any items onto it, so can someone explain why I keep getting the healing quest?

 

Confirmed on both counts (my bad).

Yes, all my other boats are fully loaded with weapons but when I went and looked, they were all loaded with flares & blast cannons -- the same as my main loadout.

Also true that I get no shooter specific quests even though my shooter is M4 and my speeder main is M5. I haven't driven the shooter in a few weeks. I do get quests for the weapons loaded on the shooter though which are not flares & blast cannons.

 

Yeah, I try unequiping all items n get the same issue.

I posted the answer to your questions above. Boat quests has nothing to do with items equipped.

 

Well, no offence, from a reader's point of view, I would have no idea which one of the many posts had correct information.
From personal experience, I avoided using a ship for many days (didn't count, but definitely many days...) but still get quests, so even if what you said is true, it doesn't really solve the problem.
Think about this, if you want to try another ship/configuration, or want to help solving guild quest by use an unfamiliar ship, you are screwed with daily quests as well.
I realize daily quests can be refresh to get a different one, but quite often the new one is just as shitty.
And lastly, I was actually trying to up vote this issue instead of looking for a solution, as I didn't expect there to be one.

 

Kitterini's post is correct. It matches my actual data and once I read it I remembered I'd read all that before which is exactly why all my other boats are loaded with flares & BC's. I wanted to use them for inventory space but I wanted to control the weapon quests. I can confirm that I get no boat specific quests other than speeder and all the other boats are fully decked out but I haven't played them in a while.

 

How long "a while" shoud be?
