HOW COME HE GOT ONLY 2 STARS?

I just have a doubt how I got 3 stars despite having less damage and not even sunk any ships and that cafir 21 got 2 stars despite
Having more damage then me and got qurda kill . Although I am not saying I don't deserve a 3 stars(I am happy to take that) just thought he also deserve 3 stars .
But how this happens anyone can explain please ? Just to clear my doubt

 

He is an infamy tanker.
Look at his infamy. 88!
This is a way to punish him.
He will also get less gold and sugar

That doesn't seem right. The fact that he got any starts means (I think) he's not in the tanking zone. More likely is that the damage was close but OP was using a fire weapon so got the bonus points from everyone else's burn perks.

 

MK 5 at 88 infamy cannot be a coincidence.
He also has rares T4 and epics T3.
He should be tanking, because he belongs to like 1500 infamy+
You cant just drop to 88!

 

Well, he is the only one who is not around the 650 mark so it would seem likely that he/she is being punished for dropping from about 650 infamy by being matched with them.
OP is also using firebomb which boosts contribution.
Other factors could be that you: Dodged more shots, Scouted out the enemy first....idk. It's rovio's magical star system again.

The fact that people find it acceptable to have mk5's with t4 anything at 1500 hurts me.

 

Why not? I did in a M4? All you need to do is to never have gotten very high. Honestly, given the mess of lower-infamy, "not getting that high" isn't hard.

Insofar as whether he's tanking, who knows. But I'm pretty sure that if the tanking penalty was in play he'd get zero stars. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Hey there, there is one more battle I want to show you.

As you can see D_Mon3y has done more damage then me still he got 2 and I got 3 stars. And seeing his infamy doesn't seem to be a tanker I guess.

There more many battles like this which I have done less damage than my teammates Nd received 3 stars and their got 2.

Just curious to know how star reward system works? Not that I am agianst the rewards just want to know How you get 3 stars? If anyone can make me understand.

Nope.
Maximum for this season 3285, so it's less than 600 difference.
Last season maximum was 35xx, don't remember. And never ever more than that =)

Do they track our all-time maximum? And give stars accordingly?

Update: as you can see in this screenshot, almost same infamy, but already 3 stars.

I’ve discovered that you do still get stars, even when you’re in the tanking zone. You just don’t seem to get the star for winning.

 

Uhm... Sorry for silly question. What is tanking zone? =)

 

The devs won’t tell us the exact details. But if you drop about 800 infamy below your ‘normal’ infamy (whatever that is), then you will start being penalised for tanking.

So the tanking zone is: Your normal infamy -800.
