I'm always bitching about how certain aspects of the game, that are supposed to be completely based on rng, don't actually seem to be that way. But amazingly, over the last two days i somehow opened 3 epic explosive cannons. I got 1 from an uncommon crate and 2 from the rare chests. I've been sitting on my lvl30 explosive for so damn long that I was beginning to think that I would never get the upgrade unless I just gave in and bought one from the mysteriously well timed special offers containing the explosive cannon I needed to upgrade to lvl4.

Guess i can't complain about the system being rigged anymore now that I the pieces for a lvl5 sitting in my inventory

 

That's awesome! I just got a 3rd Epic Ex Canon, but it's been 6 months of using T5 Rares, waiting for a 4th Epic copy of any of them to finally progress, but so far, no go.

 

It's still rigged, they just rigged it back the other way in this case because they have data saying this will help them make more money.
