Changes that need to be made

Is it just me or the Tesla bolt just extremely OP? I mean an epic bolt will stun someone for 8 seconds at a bare minimum , if you have no healer on your team you're SOL. I've even had multiple games were we are facing a duo w/ double Tesla bolts and they literally just blast anyone out.. Along w/ this making matters worse the match making in this game is without a doubt probably the worst I've ever seen in any game..After about 3600 battles I can say i'm either on a team that's stomping the other team or my team is the one being completely stomped into the ground, very rarely do I get games that you find even teams.. Anyone agree or have ideas/tips for dealing w/ both of these issues

 

Tesla bolt is a good item, that's why it has a big cooldown It is balanced

So when you have a duo that has double tesla bolt just spamming a single person and they can do absolutely nothing as they have no healer you think that is fair? 100% incorrect on this...

 

Why is this one person being spammed? why is he/ she alone facing 2 yellow boats?

 

Happens more often than you think,if they come up behind you and spam that then torpedo you, you're done for.

 

Tesla Bolt does 0 damage, and has a 20 second cooldown.

I’d happily swap my Tesla Bolt for any red item, in a heartbeat. So next time you’re thinking to yourself ‘Tesla Bolt is OP’, just imagine what it would be like getting hit with a Railgun instead, and then be thankful we don’t have a space for one.

None of your are taking in the perspective of situations I appear to be having quiet often when I get duo speeders/enforcers that abuse the Tesla bolt and single out a solo person with a team that doesn't have a healer so they are literally useless for 16+ seconds at a time..

 

Would you rather they both hit you with Blast Cannons? Then you could be useless for the rest of the game, by virtue of being dead?

 

Don't you shoot them within the gap to 20 sec? Besides you get 2x tesla resistance everytime stun hits you. Meaning every stun will be reduced to half or even less amount next time they stun you.
If you complain about you can't hit a banana boat that's fault on your side.

 

Do you mind to share a replay?

Your complaining about an item (WHICH WAS HEAVILY NERFED RECENTLY FYI) because of a very niche scenario. Maybe fleet with a Fixer if you somehow find your self in this situation every other game. (Which I would bet money on doesn’t happen often).

 

Yes, I think that is absolutely fair. You're talking about a pair of boats which are the best at close combat and they are coordinating in a 2v1. Yeah, that lone boat has no chance nor should he. In fact, I'm hard pressed to name any combination of boats where the single is likely to survive a 1v2 encounter. When I see a pair of fleeted speeders I immediately think, "pack of piranhas" and dial back my aggression accordingly.

 

I wasn't thinking "pack of piranhas", but I will be now. I was more thinking "oh damn, hope my guys know to stay together... oh, damn, they don't"

 

Yeah well, if the rest of your team doesn't recognize the danger of a fleet much less a fleeted pair of speeders then they are going to die. I learned this lesson myself playing a shooter.

 

Yea matchmaking is a head scratcher. I would like the Devs to explain it to us some day because something is not right about it. Rather than balance by infamy (which can change by the minute) their balancing algorithm seems to have a lot of unintended side effects.
