Ok, that gives me a little hope that it's still possible to evolve items even with current "balance" without making the game feeling as a work, where you have to grind every day several hours.

 

Make good use of common powercells, build tier5 commons

 

I have till date:

1x Tier 5 :100
4x Tier 4: 480
2x Tier 3: 60
1x Tier 2: 10

Items Totalling : 650
Inventory/materials :346

Grand total :996

This is the first time I'm actually reading something like this. I had no idea there was a need for power cells, they just kind of accumulate in my inventory...

 

Yes, I was also careless about power cells, but since I've started to build epics and I'm 100% f2p they have become a problem. And as we have calculated it is really hard to get them

 

I have 172 epic power cells, 2 T4 epic items, and 8 T2 epic items. 7 months of play. Maybe I have better power cell RNG?

 

According to these data, you got 372 epic power cells for the whole time. It's approximately the same as me

 

You've done quite a bit of research! This makes me feel even more than before that power cells should just be removed from the game. It seems like they're never useful until you get to this high level brick wall. That's not good design imo. They're clearly too abundant at low level and too scarce at high level. You can't even buy them with pearls or anything, so their existence benefits no one and only makes evolving items more convoluted than it needs to be.

 

Thanks! The most frustrating thing, it feels like that they were introduced only with this goal: at low and medium level - they are not a problem. Once a player want to go higher - they are an additional constraint that slows down the progress and give additional advantages to p2w players and make you want either quit or also start to pay

 

Smh, I hope that's not literally the reason they exist or else a lot of players are going to ditch this game.

 

You can occasionally buy 80 for 12800 pearls.. hell of a deal

 

I love this game but it's going to die if this keeps up!!
I'm not even exaggerating, Devs, players don't appreciate this kind of thing at all! I've seen too many players leave too many games for this exact reason!

 

That's exactly why they exist. Another paywall or another massive grind..
Gotta squeeze every cent you can as a business, whenever and wherever possible.

Regardless of the reason, that's going to kill this game. Stupidly overpriced options are a great way to make quick money in the short term, but in the long term this game is already dead if you ask me. I hate to say this but it's just a fact. Eventually the people willing to pay will all be done with this game and those who aren't will have likely already quit by then. I really hope they figure this out before it's too late. I don't want to see this game die.

 

I never really had scarcity of powecells. I also seen evylife saying same thing about rare powecells.
I have 3 t4 epics 5 t3 and 3 t2 and 192 powecells in inventory.
And every rare is t4 and t5 now rare powecells are junk to me. I just need 240 to max out my setup I have like 400+ in inventory.

 

So your result is 552 epic power cells for the whole time. This is really good, if you have never grinded specially to get them. The result is on the same level with players that were already in the game when power cells were first introduced in it. But still by far not enough to get 8 epic items to T5 even in theory.

 

I started playing around global launch 1-5th may 2017. And I have never really farmed for any sort of stuff.
And as a F2P the dupes are already so hard to get so by the time you collect dupes you catch up on powecells.
PS: I don't remember how many I have evolved to tier 2 and then scrapped maybe 1 or 2.
