How can I get a good railgun

So I have to blast cannons running and from my thread tell me how good I am plz a good player said to swap one with a railgun. So right now I have an epic T1 lvl.1 railgun and the blast cannon I am going to swap is uncommon T3 lvl.30. I want a T2 epic or T3 rare railgun and at the praat T2 rare to start off with. So please help me out with tips and tricks to get a good railgun.

Also I have a dilemma that I need to train Burnice to tier 3 to get a tier 3 napalm launcher but then I only have trained D.Buzzkill once and he is railgun so I have to get tier 2 of buzzkill to get a tiered up railgun.

 

I guess that sniper cannon fits railgun usage way better than blast cannon... IMHO blast cannons work better on medium to close range (where railgun is not that good) and sniper is superb at long range (like railgun). Maybe it'd be better for you to try an uncommon railgun on customs before you waste (or not) time leveling Buzzkill up

Any tips or tricks? Good news! There aren't any. Like @Help I Cant Swim said, you only have two options. If you don't want to spend money, you can expect to get a good railgun in a year or two. Luckily for you, the new weapon achievements just made things little easier for f2p players. Just don't give up and eventually you will have one of these:

 

Lol I am not f2p I have spent like 60$ on the game I just don't wanna spend 100$ on a single stupid weapon. Also at the least that will do for now is T2 rare.

 

Is it a good weapon ? I dont seem to understand how it actually work often it deals lower or no damage when I shot an opponent with it at close range..or maybe I'm hallucinating

As already mentioned, There is no tip/trick to get a weapon for free, but i can suggest you on what to do -
(1) Train that tiny yellow freak by the name of buzzkill and designation of a so-called doctor hugging your screen on the right at crew training screen first.
(2) Next, prepare a rare one, its more easy to get dupes of, +if you dont have one just buy with 750k gold to start with.
(3) seems you got your first epic rail by luck? If yes then simply work out 1 million damage (take help of the rare one) and get your epic one to t2.
(4) there are offers for evolution but they're very illogical and not worth your take. The only one i prefer for you to buy (if you buy) is the long range setup one.
It gives one epic LRM+ one epic Sniper + One epic Railgun all three together less than the cost of evolution of one rail. Profit checked

Sidenote is i've used a rare railgun dreaming about an epic one for 80% of my bb career and got my first one by luck quite late (at around lvl39). I would say your lucky because the new achievements brought you the chance of making it t2 right away.

And not that a t1 epic rail is anyway low powered at your league. Am currently using one t1 epic rail right in nightmare since quite some days.
Also In this game you need to be patient, not that you'll get everything soon and be able to have weapons that are comparable to the top guns in the bay, unless you spend of course.
i waited a lot of time for my rare railgun let alone epic which was a dream back then, and now alongwith one t5 epic and one t1 epic, i also have a leg t2, thanks to first hand leg combining luck and achievements.
So keys are - patience/bucks, and luck.
