It's a bit of a pain in the butt. What you do is you plot your own position on the graph. The X axis is infamy. The Y axis is gear score. You can see the big red dot there around 2300 infamy. That's me. Note that I'm tracking on that 5% line meaning I'm in the top 5%. If you fall somewhere in between two of the lines I just approximate.

The other wonky line... the brown line... matches the right-hand axis. That's the gearscore/infamy ratio. If you calculate yours and plot it on the graph, then below that line is "better" and above it is "worse" than average.

If u take in the fact that at my best my gear score was 4500, then i must be top 5 percent to. 4 months ago, I owuld have had a gear score of like 2500 and I got to 1500, does that mean I was top 1 percent then.

No because the terrain is changing. We'd have to see what the graph looked like from back then to know how that would plot out. I think it's dangerous to interpret anything more from this chart than it directly shows. If you plot yourself on the graph you can get a feel for how much your "skill" contributes to your infamy. The gear score lets you factor out (in really rough approximations) the input of your gear.

Back then it would have been easier-definately more mk4s at plus 1500.
