Speeders are dying

Yes, I was just stressing how hard it is to evade at close-combat. What i dont get about nitro is how the cooldown can vary hugely. Some people have got their's to 6 secs and below while some others have theirs at 12 secs( I admit I sold three epic perks to get enough gold for enforcer mk4). Its funny cause as a speeder I didnt mind the cooldown being so long cause I stun them and then wait for the nitro but on a fixer surrounded by enemies 12 secs isnt fast enough for me).
Ps. I swapped ships because speeder was getting ridiculous and the stun nerf made it pointless to use it to wiat for nitro.. Also less speeders out there for me to kill, I have see more enforcers.

 

Speeders are dying because every f**** thing they use is on cooldown.
When you have to wait eternity to use everything thing it's not fun anymore.
Tesla shield -20 sec
Tesla bolt ( if using tesla shield talent conflict with cd of bolt so at max ) 17 sec
Ex canon -14.5 sec
What do you want me to do use my ob to run around the map shouting hey look at me I am fast?

 

Saying this for eternity. And some jerks say you need skill to be a good speeder :rolling_eyes:
Frost torp isn't effective (some odd people running it and having success with it doesn't define its usability as 1 reply cannot justify the case).
Flare Explosive Stun means you are not doing anything for half the match.
Only remaining combo is flare blast I guess it will be nerfed too in coming updates.
People say use 2x nitro, well I say it's easier said than done with all the mines around the bay.

 

Also 2x Nitro definitely falls into the ‘hey look at me, I’m fast!’ category.

 

It works best when there are less mines on bay. You will straight nitroing into mines instead as you can't stop once you press that nitro.

Apparently, the number of shooters is much more than the number of speeders (look at your guild). When the leg.-weapon achievement was instroduced, players tend to play shooter more. Idealy, people should play all types of ship equally. Therefore, the non-shooter ships should get buff in some way. Otherwise, you will see shooter everywhere.

Edit: When you play shooters, you tend to finish quest faster. All situations favors shooter.

 

Yeah same to you mate. Let all speeders in your match commit suicide and you get a reward for it 'a infamy tanker'.

Speeder is more balanced than they ever were on the high end of the infamy spectrum. I agree that low infamy speeders have it hard right now, so they need some buff there. But they should not even touch Mk6+ speeders, that shit is still able to destroy anything and wreck havoc on the bay.

 

Not everything favors shooter. What about the healing quests? Win machine?

 

A useful buff to speeder would be ANY item ( except blue, obviously) has its cooldown significantly reduced. @Crashedup, @TheAntiSnipe, you wanted this?

That's just 1 quest out of 12. Win machine you can complete with any boat. Rest 10 favours shooters they can have all the weapons, fire, mortar, cannon, specific weapons quests, dominator, star hoarder, damage dealer, ship sinker.

 

That is the thrill, that you have to work for something. Problem is everybody can get whatever boat, just buy training your crew. I think this is what gaming is about ´skill and perseverance´!

So, I agree don´t make it too easy. Work for it!

 

Rudder is your best friend.

You can make very tight 90 degree turns.

Not to mention your 180 degree turning problem!

You can see that I had to drop the throttle to make the 180 degree turn as tight as possible. Still, the rudder allows some split second decision making. I won't get into some of the ludicrous plays I've pulled off before, but give the rudder a shot, man. Recommend using at Mk6 with a big shield and turbo, but you can always practice using it at Mk4 and Mk5 (not recommended if you wanna get to higher infamy).

 

Mk5 and below speeders need a buff. mk6-7 not at all

 

Yes, please. I waited so long to be able to use a rudder viably.
