Are My Weapons Weak?

    currently I use a speeder. With around 4.8k gear score around 1900 infamy. My brother has around 6k gear score but he's around my infamy too.

    For my main speeder combo I use double torpedo, lv 40 rare, lv 23 frost blaster rare, lv 40 bandage rare. Turbo lv 30 epic. Overboost and nitro lv 10 epic.

    That equals my main setup.

    I would use my E cannon if the gear score was more. It currently sits at lv 20 epic at 480 gear score. Dealing 708 damage. My brother's is lv 40 rare sitting around at 700-800 gear score. Dealing 750-770damage.

    Maybe perks add way too much gear score to your ship.

    A couple things... Firstly, your weapons are not necessarily "weak"... they are just not currently the "meta" weapons so they are not going to be as effective as a similarly leveled Flare Gun + Explosive Cannon.

    Can you post pics of you and your brother's setups?

    There is a guy in my guild that plays as a defender and has a worse gear score than me. But because he uses a meta setup and I don't usually, his infamy is higher. Gear score is not as important as item selection.

    It's all relative to skill.
    I got to 3400 infamy using two rare mortars on speeder, I was heavily out gunned.

    Gear score doesn’t mean much. It’s just a general idea of what you could expect from your set up.

    You should always use what gives you more fun ;) I don't like to use 2 torpedos on a speeder because other speeders using cannons would have a huge advantage on 1 on 1 situations, and I love 1 on 1 :p but that's is just me :D
