Overboost vs Nitro - Fixer Class

Hi guys,

I've somehow managed to hit Nightmare and I'm feeling like a little fish in a whole lot of water. I'm looking at trying to be tactful in improving my gear and wouldn't mind some input. From the point of view of other fixers, what is the general feel for being the most ideal between these two?

 

I don't play fixer, so I'm not 100% sure which is better, but let me give u some nitro insight.
1) rare nitro can come down to a 5.5 s cooldown, and epic nitro can come down to a 4.56 s cooldown. This is more than enough to dodge at least half of the shots fired at you, whereas it isn't the hardest thing in the world to hit an overboosted fixer.
2) drawbacks being that it may be more annoying when you need to position for pulse by backing up etc. as nitro only goes forward

Overall, (coming from a speeder pov) I find fixers who master using nitro much more annoying than OB. I think the decision comes down to what healing items you use; if you are playing double pulse then I think OB can come into the discussion, but if not I honestly would take nitro 100% (if it's the epic t4 with 4.56 cd) if not it's more of a toss up but still nitro imo lol.

At least try nitro out if you haven't already. But it has to be one under 6s cd or it just won't be the same.

This is what it is currently.

Nitro - I've got a tier 1 epic but I've not had any duplicates for it yet so left as is.
Overboost - currently tier 3 with another sat on the enforcer but no decent perks.

From an aspirational point of view, I would like to try and work towards a double pulse /w bolt. What I'm struggling with is not having enough epic parts but i think that is due not having enough games under my belt.

 

If you want to use double pulse, I'd suggest using OB.

 

My nitro for reference. If you plan on using double pulse use overboost to always be near your team from my experience nitro is great for dodging but I can't get around the map easily.

 

Thank you very much for the SS for reference. The 2 big challenges I have are a) escaping the enemy and b) trying to stick with my team. I'm plagued by teams that split up or sail away from me opposed to me when in need...
