Need Assistance

So I left the game before guild quests came on. I haven't been playing since, reached 2k infamy when I was on finally. Then I quit, I came back yesterday and obviously I can't play as well as I could, much harder to steer the ship, waves feel twice as rocky.

Been falling in infamy nonstop. There were atleast 1 or 2 mk4s in my infamy range back when I was playing but it's all mk5s and 6s now, what's new since I've been gone aside from the guild quests?.

Also, I forgot how to cancel a shot after pressing the trigger, anybody care to remind me how again?

A lot of balances... Enforcer and shooters seem to be the strongest boats and defender seems to need a serious buff.
Which boat and weapons do you use? It'd be easier to remember the changes that would directly affect you

 

What happened? They buffed the speeder and enforcer and now it's dominating all infamy levels!
Just kidding, they nerfed yellow items. The Explosive cannon got a nerf and a bunch of people are [strike]crying[/strike] expressing their concerns.

Ships got pushed lower, so yeah there' mk5 everywhere at 2k and mk6s and even 7s in Ace 2.

I'm a shooter main, played 3 ships before 1k, 4 ships back in warrior. Couldn't handle more than 1 ship so I ditched all and went shooter.

I use 2 lrms, 1 stm, 1 sniper and 1 standard cannon.

 

The only thing I remember that is different on your itens and on your boat is that sniper is easier to use because the auto aim corrects the wave interference

 

Sad, back in my day you could reach ace with just mk4.

Any new items I should watch out for?.

 

I noticed it's been easier to hit with the sniper, same with mortars. Thanks a lot for the news man, btw any new items I should watch out for in enemy boats?.

 

I remember us oldies demanding this for a long time. Nice to see they finally gave in. Damn devs, giving us all the sweet updates after I quit.

Did they fix they damn matchmaking or are they still sucking upto whales?.

 

There are lots of mines. As @TheAntiSnipe told fire bombs mechanics changed, stay away from the center
Oh , watch out for the flare guns, they are reducing the healing by 30% every shot (while you're on fire) when burnice get to level 21.

I think it is fair but a lot of people disagree (I think they just don't like fairness)

 

I find sniper now harder to aim. I had to turn off snap to target.

 

I found everything harder to aim but that's cause my skills are wonky (Or so I think).

But still, I managed to hit even when I aimed rather badly so I'm think it's more difficult to aim but easier to hit or something.

 

Depends, do they still let mk5s play in warriors? (Yeah yeah I know, big boat, low skills, but there's a line to how much firepower you can compensate with skills ya know)

 

Yes, but they try to put the same mks on both teams, when it is possible (without make you wait too much before Battle just because you still are not as good as your opponents)

You're not alone in thinking that. This last patch they changed something to improve auto-aim and it's been a constant challenge for me. I'm sure your skills are rusty but even so, not everyone likes the new "help" we got with aiming.
