Every word you wrote above is wrong.
I haven't seen anyone take your words as a personal attack.
I mean, I guess I can just speak for myself, but it doesn't seem like it anyway.
As for me, I responded to your comment "Lol take it easy, it's just a daily quest."
My response was intended to (a) try to show that I wasn't upset or angry, just disappointed, and (b) that disappointment was less based in emotion, and more based in logic. The logic is simply that, if Rovio wants to make rules (threats) like "play your best, or your account will be deleted", then I fail to understand why they even have weapon-specific or ship-specific quests -- of the daily quest variety or rivalry quest variety.
What have I not observed?
I have observed that we get these weapon-specific and ship-specific quests. Have you not?
I have observed that these types of quests encourage me to use sub-par gear, which leads to a drop in infamy. Have you not?
I have observed Rovio make a post about how if we are discovered to be playing at less than our best, the consequences may be severe. Have you not?
What am I missing?
Is it a bug? No. These quests are working as they were designed.
Unfortunately, the quest-assignment code is at odds with Rovio's stated expectation that I play my best. (Which also happens to be what I want! I want to play my best!)
And yes, I do think it's a big deal.
Anything that incentivizes us (directly or indirectly) to use worse gear to get a reward, or to tank infamy to more easily get better rewards... I think those have a massive net-negative effect on the "health" of the game.
I desperately want this game to succeed. It's a ton of fun! But that's why I make such a big deal about this stuff. It's in Rovio's best interest to take these topics seriously.
So... in case it's not clear, I'm still no taking your words as an attack. I'm not mad. I'm passionate about the game, and I'm trying to show you why I hold my viewpoint on this topic, so perhaps you can try to understand too - and not try to make a small deal about it.
Perhaps you disagree, but I'd like to see your reasons, and not a note about how you think you have offended me, that my opinions are premature, or that it's not a big deal.
