The damage is variable, so not every shot will do exactly 210, it will fluctuate randomly, so you will not get 235 every time.
Also it is 12% extra damage based on the cannons base stat, not 12% on the damage stat after talents are added.

And you have to take into account the opponent's defense points.

Trust me, it is working properly. As popular as the fire combo is right now, there would be a lot of whales complaining if it wasn’t working right.

Not to mention the random +/-10%.

    The math:
(Weapon Base damage + [ADDITIVE Crew training] + [ADDITIVE Perk damage]) * (1+ sum of all perk multipliers + sum of all crew multipliers)

So right now on my rare-39 blast cannon
    Weapon base damage: 428.1
    Crew Training: +5
    Additional Perk Damage: 0
    Crew Multiplier: 55%
Perk Multiplier (burning targets only): 22.5%

    So my actual weapon damage on a burning target should be (428.1 + 5) * (1 + 0.55 + 22.5%) = 768.5 on a burning target.

Now you need to factor in ship defense. Let's just assume it's 30 on the average at my level. So now my base hit is 738.5 on a burning target. Finally, add in the variability of +/- 10% and you get the final range of hits between 691.8 and 845.6.

You can get the base damage numbers on a tooltip popup by tapping on you weapon damage number in the weapon screen. You should probably tap all over the place there too and read the other tooltips.

Basically, there is a bug in your math, not the game.

I think defense is applied before the burn percentage is added. But I’m not entirely sure

Wow. That'd be subtle enough that we'd need a developer to clarify. That would get lost in the 20% variance.

Not really. It would lower the possible range so technically if you get a shot under 691 you’d know that it’s applied before instead of after. Or whatever your range is supposed to be based on the defense of the person you’re testing it in custom battles with lol
