Fixer Perks

    Just a suggestion to add a couple more fixer related perks for more variety for us fixers.

    Repair Pulse Duration:
    0.5s 0.75s 1.0s
    This is to help against the Fire Bomb / Flare which lasts a great deal longer than the pulse, the flare especially which also reduces our healing.

    Repair Box Critical Heal Chance:
    2.5% 3.5% 5.0%
    This is just to give the box a bit more oopmh really as I don't tend to see the benefit from the crit chance very often only being 15%.

    I have an idea, too, may I add?

    Repair Persistence:
    4.0% 7.0% 10.0%
    This is to help against repairing reduction items (especially when stacking them). It doesn't give any boost to the repair effect itself. The % reduces the amount of repairing reduction (it sounds redundant, I know). Stun counts as 100% reduction. Example:
    • A repair pulse healing 100hp/s with 4 epic persistence perks (40%) will repair 40hp on a stunned target (base100% - 40% reduction). Adding a flare onto this would be a 130% reduction, so the perks would reduce the reduction to 78%, reducing the pulse's heal to 22hp/s. It would take about 172% total reduction to completely nullify 4 epic persistence perks. Imo it's not op because its usefulness is situational and the reduction is still very strong.

    How apart a perk that concerts 2 percent of all the damage u deal into health. So if u deal 1000 in a shot , u get 80 health with 4 perks on

    For red items, right? It sounds neat, but torps would be insane with this :eek:

    Not actually, 2 percent sounds better. As 0.5 of 10000 is really low anyway.
    All ships can us ethem as even 4 perks only give u 80 damage in a 1000 damage shot.

    Sorry, lets change it to 10 percent per perk. That means gfor a shot of 1000 u get 400 health

    Let the devs decide on the numbers, let's just keep in mind that we're giving up 4 potentially op perks (like 48% burn damage on cannons) for some self healing.

    lo lNo but with 5 items with 4 perks means that u get 1600 healing for 1000 damage so there should be a limit like only up to 40 percent, which is a lot in higher levels.

    By all means, more thoughts the better. I don't think we've had a perk discussion thread from what I can remember.

    I like these ideas and the conversation in general. Many items have either limited choice of perks, or one blatantly obvious choice. Perk balance has not been addressed much by the devs.
