    New weapon idea. It would be called "Laser"
    It would be similar to a railgun where it would shoot a straight projectile.
    It would shoot 3 projectiles, in an order. (unlike triple torpedos)
    Each would do about 40 (common) damage (damage reduced by defense)
    But, it would set fire for 3 seconds (10% of the laser damage)
    Example: 40 x3 and fire for 3 second. (4 damage)
    It would do about 132 damage.
    Here are some rough stats
    Common 40 damage
    Uncommon 65 damage
    Rare 95 damage
    Epic 120 damage
    Legendary about 300 damage.
    The fire damage can be stacked up, say if you hit a ship with all projectiles, the fire would last 9 sec. 1 projectile would equal 3 sec.
    It will take 11.1-14.4 seconds to reload.
    2 slot weapon
    Edit: What people don't get is that the damage is 300 (legendary) X3 if you land all hits. Plus, the fire damage would equal 30, and the duration will be 12. A total of 900+360=1260 damage!

    everyone wants a new weapon for a long time, but unfortunately the developers do not have much finance to translate these ideas into reality

    He means 400 times 3 which is quite high when compared to normal cannons and is similar damage to a legendary rail-gun.
    Also standard cannon does only 400 damage
