This Is Madness

Ive been playing this game for 6 months or so (I took a year off), and I’ve gained infamy very fast, however I’ve noticed something. All of this offers that ROVIO keeps putting out: the Christmas special where you get 10 epic containers or the Valentines Day Special where you get 8 epic containers and 10k raffle chips. The way that legendary league people are getting a legendary item piece every single season. This new shop under the shopping cart tab that gives you three deals. The new update that after 10million dmg/healing you get that item you earn a legendary. It’s already been a week and people said that they have theirs already.

Now, I’m never the one to complain about this because usually I kill people who use these legendaries. Because a legendary, once you get one, can only go to level ten, until you get another one.

Now this is where I go to @BITTERSTEEL and @P0rthos . These guys said that higher tiered items never make a difference in battle, map control does.

I believed them and still do because of how successful I have been in fending off people with level ten legendaries.

But ever since these latest deals, offers, and updates came out, I have told my friends that, “This Is Madness!”

Even Bittersteel, the guy known for getting to nightmare league with all rares said that he has to switch to epics because he needs a bit more firepower.

I’m also seeing mk4 ships running around with tier 2 legendary items.

It is also impossible for me to get to 3500 infamy because as soon as I do, “BAM!” I’m hit with mk7 ships who have legendaries and legendaries galore.

So maybe in the next update, instead of adding features, events, maps, game modes, new weapons and items (take a look at mine) <sellout moment>, try to do something about this, cause I’m sick and tired of being killed by pay to play players who say they’re the best, but honestly they aren’t. They just have better weapons.

I’m saying people are running ships with doubles and triples of the items. Three blast, three explosive, three sniper etc.

 

Today, I saw a shooter with 4 snipers 1v1 a shooter with 4 mortars. lol

@Miku Da Yo 39 already has a legendary duct tape from the achievements.

 

I’ve made the switch because after almost 2 years of hoarding items, I finally have enough epics to replace my rares. If I went back to rares, I’d still stay in Nightmare, easy peasy.

Can I see your items? Maybe your gear *IS* underpowered for your infamy.

I Agree This Update Been Nuts Because Now you Get Free Leggys Luckly I'm Not at Your Infamy But I'm Not Sure Devs Well Remove Them Now But Its Tho a Good idea Too Because Free to Play Players That Won't Buy Not 1$ in This Game well get a Chance to have one of their own!

I've always thought whenever a p2p kills me.. What if they were brought down to our weapon level and i challenge them to a 1v1, who wins now?

 

I saw a MK2 with a legendary explosive cannon. He was on my team. I will not spend $1. But I will get tons of pearls.I WILL GET THE PEARLS!!! ALL OF THEM!!!

 

When I was reading this thread at first, I was about to suggest that you simply practice more. Now that I’ve seen your setup, I think there’s more to it.

If I’m being honest, your items don’t compliment each other. Mine and big torpedo? While I’m not an expert on speeders, I think you need a point damage weapon. In addition, you don’t even use frost to compliment your torp.

That isn’t to say that it hasn’t been done before. Mufigo runs with a similar setup - mine and tritorps. It’s a very technical, time consuming, and difficult setup to master.

I’m sure you’ve climbed quite high with this gear, but sometimes but certain combinations of items complement each other more than others, with no bearing on skill or rarity. For example, I have a legendary big berta, and a T5 rare big torpedo. My infamy cap with the big berta is 4.9k, and 5.3k with the torp, DESPITE my berta being a higher rarity.

Anyways, if you like this combination, don’t let me dishearten you! You can make Nightmare, though it won’t be as easy as if you were to use a traditional setup. Good luck!

 

I use frost blaster and mortars. Frost blaster for slowing, and then the mortar does the damage. My only weakness is roofs and enemies that refuse to go far away

Thanks for the feedback. So many people have told me to get a point damage weapon, guildmates, friends, and now even you one of the masters. I did have a nice frost blaster a long time ago, but ever since the nerf I scrapped it. However I have been building up a rare one and I love it. But it’s tough because if I use frost then another speeder will stun me and then do the combo that will never be nerfed in this game, the flare cannon combo. Last Nov. I was at 1300 infamy. I scrapped everything, except the weapon that I had that didn’t the most damage, mines and torp. I hated cannons because they can’t do what a torp did and that wasn’t, bring the satisfaction of blowing shit up. After scrapping everything I had a huge infamy jump all the way to where I am now and my setup and weapons are almost non competitive.

Thanks for the feedback again. I’m trying to build a cannon right now, tier two epic that pokes people with a measly 630 damage.
