How does weapons upgrade I need help in numbers

Recently I trained bhurt to gain the new talent after the completion of training I choose to increase the damage of explosove cannon by +10% more damage. Before the training the explosive cannon total damage was 1008 in total and after the training I selected +10% more damage for explosive cannon but it only shows 1071 total damage, shouldn't it should be 1108? I have uploaded the photo below this writing.

 

Click on the damage, and it will show you a base damage number, which displays the damage without any talents or perks affecting it. Any % damage boosts effect the base damage, while fire damage % boost things affect the TOTAL at the bottom. So in your case that +10% isn't actually boosting your total by 10%, but rather the hidden base damage which appears to be 540 for your cannon. Hope that cleared things up

 

u have to check the total damage of the weapon without damage perk.. then add +10% to that.. then add the perks.
